PPC, PPM | Make Money with Google Adsense

Before I explain more on how to make money with Adsense, let me starts off by describing the essence which makes Adsense possible. Advertisers from around the globe who are searching for potential buyers and customers will enroll to another Google services known as Google Adword. They will placed a bid (money) on a certain keywords that thoroughly describe what their product is all about, and leave the promoting job to Google. One way of google advertising method is through their renowned Google Search Engine where the advertiser ads will be placed at the top and right side of the returned result page after a search has been made. With the exponential increment of popularity and return on investment(ROI) to advertisers, Google has launched another advertising strategy known as Google Adsense. Website publishers who have signed up for Adsense will display relevant ads in correspond to their website content. In return, publishers will get a portion of the initial bid placed on that particular ads. This is how you, as a publisher will make money online using Adsense.

Google Adsense

There are currently (as for February 2009) six Google Adsense products that you can choose from to earn money online. All six have one thing in common: it is all contextual. This indicates that Google will deliver the ads based on your site content, thus enabling you to fully monetize and improve your pages.

  1. Adsense for Content

  2. Adsense for Content - Text
    Adsense for Content - Image
The above image shows two examples of Google ads for a website related to gardening. As you can see, Google deliver relevant ads to our page content which in this example is about gardening. Both of these ad types can generate online money either by pay per click(PPC) or pay per mille(PPM).

  3. Adsense for Search

  4. Adsense for Search
Adsense for search allows publishers to embed a Google search box in their website and earn cash when visitors click on the sponsored ads (labeled as 'Ads by Google') on the results page. You will only earn for the click on the sponsored links and not for the normal results.

  5. Adsense for Mobile Content

  6. Adsense for Mobile Content
Adsense for mobile content will generate targeted ads on publishers mobile webpages. It will be in the form of contextual text ads and only available for a selected country only. You will get paid based on PPC: that is, when your website mobile visitors click on the ads.

  7. Adsense for Feeds

  8. Adsense for Feeds
This is a feed sample containing Google ads from bloggingtips. Adsense for feeds allows website publishers to insert Google ads on their site feeds. Your site feeds can only display either 468x60(banner) or 300x250(medium rectangle) ads format where you will be making money based on PPC and PPM basis.

  9. Adsense for Domains

  10. Adsense for Domains
Adsense for domains allows publishers to make use of their unused and expired domains. Instead of displaying a 404 error or 'under construction' page, Google will shows relevant ads based on the domain name keyword and publishers will make money whenever visitors click on the ads.

  11. Video Units

  12. Adsense Video Units
Adsense video units is a new features in Adsense where it allows you to insert a customizable video player with embedded Google ads on your website. The content of video units comes from YouTube partners who have chosen to share their videos to publishers for Adsense network.

To be successful on Adsense, you will need to do more than just a simple 'copy and paste' the adsense code to your site. If you are serious on making money with adsense, then you should consider about the ads placement, blending, page content and how do you drive traffic to your site. I'm going to explained about these part on my other post. For now, what I need you do is to register for adsense. Applying for Google adsense is free, you need to have a top level domain name,a website or a blog(preferably blogger.com) with quality content written in English and you are qualified to register. Usually they will approved your application within 2-3 days. Good Luck =)

Hey there ! Welcome to my blog =)

Q : How much i'm going to make for a click on adsense?
A : There's no telling on how much will you earn per click. You can earn from as small as $0.01 to as high as $50 dollars for each click depending on how much did advertisers willing to bid on their ads. Usually, the popular niche will generate more high paying ads on your website.

Q : What if i click on my own ads?
A : DO NOT CLICK ON YOUR OWN ADS, this is one thing you MUST obey. It is against Google TOS, and when they have found out that you have been clicking on your own ads (believe me they will), usually they give warnings but if you continue clicking your ads, they will BAN you. Your account will be terminated along with your money accumulated for that account.

Good Luck =)
